Portuguese Coins of 1 Centavo $01

The 1 Centavo coins were the lowest denominated coins circulating in Portugal, created by Law 679 of April 21, 1917 and withdrawn from circulation on January 1, 1927 by decree nº 12,892, of December 17, 1926. Only coins dated 1917, 1918, 1920, 1921 and 1922 were issued from this series, the 1 cent 1922 coin being the rarest coin in the Portuguese Republic since the establishment of the Republic in 1910.
