Cape Verde Coins

Cape Verde’s coins reflect the country’s historical development since independence in 1975 and the adoption of the Cape Verde escudo as its national currency. Modern issues highlight cultural elements, historical figures and the archipelago’s Atlantic identity, strengthening its visual and numismatic heritage.
