Armenia – Banknotes

Armenian banknotes include issues of the Armenian dram, reflecting the country’s economic, political and cultural development from its independence in 1991 to the present. The series feature historical figures, elements of Armenian Christian heritage, architectural landmarks, mountainous landscapes, national symbols and motifs representing Armenian identity, accompanying monetary reforms, periods of economic stabilization and phases of financial modernization. Due to their design variety, variants, signatures and historical relevance within the Caucasus and Western Asia, Armenian paper money is appreciated in international numismatics and sought after by world banknote collectors.
