Coins of Queen Maria I (1786-1816)

D. Maria I (Widow), after the death of her husband in 1786, continued her reign until her death in 1816, however due to her disability due to mental illness, the kingdom from 1799 to 1816 was taken over by the his son Prince Regent D. João.
