João Prince Regent, medium crown variant of 30 pearls, 2 pearls in the central arch, 6 pearls in the front internal arches, 5 pearls at the beginning of the external arches and 3 pearls inside them, 1-point diamond diadem, on the caption letter "S" ornamented and with serif, on the reverse quatrefoils cantonating the cross of the Order of Christ with closed petals and large center, cross of the Order of Christ ✠ 21 mm, on the caption letter "S" not ornamented and with serif, World Coins Portugal KM#318. Coin minted during the reign of D. João Prince Regent (1799-1816), born in Queluz on May 13, 1767, son of D. Maria I and D. Pedro III. Due to the illness of the Queen Mother, Prince D. João took on the responsibility of government from 10 February 1792, assuming it definitively as Prince Regent from 15 July 1799, until the death of his mother.
