Portugal 10$00 Banknote

The 10$00 escudos banknote issued by the Bank of Portugal corresponds to ten escudos and includes three distinct issues with unique designs. Chapa 1 features Afonso de Albuquerque, with notes dated 21 October 1919 and 7 July 1920. Chapa 2 depicts the Marquis of Sá da Bandeira, issued from 9 August 1920 to 28 January 1928, forming the longest and most diverse series of this denomination. Chapa 3 presents Eça de Queiroz, with a single issue dated 13 January 1925. All issues include collectible variants of dates, signatures, prefixes, serial numbers and printing anomalies. Internationally catalogued as Pick 117, Pick 121 and Pick 134, these notes are among the most representative Portuguese banknotes of the early twentieth century.
