The special issues of the Portuguese Mint in PROOF, BNC and FDC finishes comprise a wide range of Portuguese Escudo coins produced with superior quality for collectors. These releases include circulation coins from the monetary systems in use between 1986 and 2001, presented in official sets and cases, as well as special versions of commemorative coins struck in silver Ag925 and, in some limited editions, also in gold. All pieces were issued in dedicated packaging and accompanied by an official certificate of guarantee from the Portuguese Mint, reflecting high technical and artistic standards. This category gathers all special Escudo issues produced with collector finishes, allowing collectors to easily identify and acquire complete sets or individual premium pieces.
