India, 60 réis silver coin from 1858, issued under King Pedro V, also known as the 1858 silver Tanga, minted at the Goa Mint in the former Portuguese India. Listed in the World Coins catalogue as Portuguese India KM277, this coin was struck for circulation in the then Portuguese colony of India during the reign of King Pedro V (1853–1861). Nicknamed "The Hopeful," Pedro V was the thirty-second King of Portugal. He was born in 1837 and reigned from 1853 until his death in 1861. He was married to Dona Estefânia Josefa Frederica Guilhermina Antónia of Hohenzollern.
