João Prince Regent, medium crown 31 pearls (variant 3), 3 pearls in the central arch, 6 pearls in the front inner arches, 5 pearls at the beginning of the outer arches and 3 pearls inside them, crown + small (A) ⭤ 15 mm, (B) ⭥ 9.5 mm and rim 9 mm, diamond diadem 1 point, legend without serifs in the letter "S", on the reverse the cross of the Order of Christ (✠ 22 mm ◁⭥ 12.5 mm), cantonated by quatrefoils with closed petals, legend with simple serifs (2nd type) in the letter "S", World Coins Portugal KM#331. Coin minted during the reign of D. João Prince Regent (1799-1816), born in Queluz on May 13, 1767, son of D. Maria I and D. Pedro III. Due to the Queen Mother's illness, Prince D. João took on the responsibility of government from 10 February 1792, assuming it definitively as Prince Regent from 15 July 1799, until his mother's death.
