The 1 Escudo 1933 coin was created by Decree 22297 of March 9, 1933, to circulate in the Former Portuguese Colony of Guinea, only 800,000 coins with the date 1933 were minted in the Alpaca metal alloy (Cu 610 - Zn 200 - Ni 190 ).

Issuance on the various dates minted between 1942 and 1969: 250000000.

Portugal, silver coin of 20 centavos 1916, was one of the first Portuguese 20-cent silver coins from the Portuguese Republic from 1913 and 1916, ($20 silver centavos), created by Decree with the force of Law of May 22, 1911, law nº 220, of 30 July 1911. Emission ceased under the terms of Decree-Law 3296 of August 15, 1917. Withdrawn from circulation under the terms of Decree-Law 19871 of June 9, 1931.

Saint Thomas & Prince, Copper-nickel coin 5 escudos 1971, 5$00 escudos 1971, Former Portuguese Colony, Saint Thomas & Prince Island KM#22.  It was created by Decree No. 458/70 of October 3, 1970, and intended for circulation in the then-colony of São Tomé and Príncipe, part of Portuguese Africa. The islands of São Tomé and Príncipe remained uninhabited until they were discovered by the Portuguese explorers João de Santarém and Pedro Escobar in 1470. Gradually colonized by the Portuguese throughout the 16th century, they became an important trading center within the Atlantic trade network. São Tomé and Príncipe achieved independence in 1975.
